Several users stated that they started to experience this program after an iOS update. Some users worried that this is a sign of spyware and that some unwanted and secret activity is stealing sensitive information. This is NOT spyware and you do not need to remove anything. This is likely a simple bug.
According to the Apple’s documentation, the spinning wheel in the status bar “shows over-the-air syncing or other network activity. Some third party apps may also use the icon to show an active process.” If this spinning wheel is appearing constantly, it may mean that something is wrong. Here is how you can stop this:

Hey all, I am trying to create an object in excel that will rotate and appear to be spinning. I was unsure of any other way to do this other than creating some simple VBA the problem with this is that it sometimes will create a very slow spin in the object and it will give a very choppy spin; however most of the time it produces a nice smooth spin. Does anyone have any ideas that might be better or see where I could optimize the code a bit to keep from getting the choppy spin return (or if I am simply being an idiot, which could be likely). Thanks in advance. Code: Subscribe for Weekly Excel Tips and TricksHelpful tutorials delivered to your email!Similar TopicsHello, As the title goes this is as simple as it gets. The macro worked good when I was using excel 2003 but now that I have 2007 everything works for except the resizing (Picture.Width & Picture. Height). Code: I have tried to record some macros while I am resizing the pictures but to no avail the macros are blank. Please help Thanks! I am looking for the code to select the visible data after applying a data filter. Actually I know how to select the data after applying the data filter but the issue is I am not able to exclude the header row and give the target range as used (non-blank) rows only!! I am using below code to Select the Visible rows in the target range: Code: Problems in this code a 1) after applying the filter, while selecting the data it is selecting all the rows in given range till last row on the workbook. I need this to select the the data only till the last used row in the given range. 2) It is not possible to provide the address of the first row after we apply the filter since the first row address may change depending on the values in the table. E.g. 1st time when I am running the macro the first row in the visible filtered data is starting at Cell address A4 and next time when I will run the macro it may be A6 3) The Code is also selecting the 1st row which is a header row. How can we exclude it from selection. Some one please revert with the solution. Thanks in advance. Hello all, Until now I have been able to find all my answers through searches. As a VBA novice, it has been very helpful. I am stumped on this one, however. I am trying to autofill from the selected cell in Column C down. I would like it to stop at the last cell with data in Column B. This is the code I have so far: Range('C2').Select Selection.AutoFill Destination:=Range(Selection, Selection.End(xlDown)) This does the autofill, but doesn't stop at the last cell with data in Column B. In the past I have use this code to acheive similar results: Dim endRow As Long endRow = Cells(Rows.Count, 'B').End(xlUp).Row Range('C2').AutoFill Destination:=Range('C2:C' & endRow) The problem with this code is that I will not always be starting in 'C2'. I need code that uses whatever the selected cell is. All help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi All, I have the below code which deletes all items from a listbox and my excel sheet which is the source for populating that listbox. I am using a option button style for my listbox and the selection style as single .i.e. you can select only one item at one go in the lisbox. I want my macro to delete the selected item from my worksheet .i.e. it's entire row so that it doesn't reflect in my lisbox any more. Below is my code : Code: Thanks a lot for your help in advance. I have searched and read all the help files. I find the properties of an object, I see how I can 'lock', 'size and move with cells' or 'not move with cells'. No matter what I select, the object moves off the screen, when the user, scrolls to the right of the spreadsheet. Is there a way to lock the position, let's say , in the upper right corner and have it stay there? This would be quite useful for an EXIT button, that I have created, that will close the program without saving (it's a read-only file.) Thanks to all the wonderful people here that have been so helpful and give us their valuable insight and time. Jo Seemingly super simple, but I can't figure it out. When I create a bar chart, the bars are horizontal. I want the chart bars to be vertical. It tried to rotate the chart so that it is vertical, but the 'rotate' options are greyed out. How do I get those bars vertical? Good day... I need an IF Function that will allow me to action a time in a time range: ... If the time 04:16 falls in the time range 04:00 - 04:29, than put a one (1) in the filed x... ... If the time 04:16 doesn't fall in the time range 04:00 - 04:29, than leave the x fiel empty Any help is appreciated.
Hi all. I have set up a workbook that is sent out to lots of different users. They each keep and use their own copy. I have set it up so that everything looks OK and is visible on MY screen, but I'm conscious that some users may have different screen sizes, different toolbars set up, and so on, which might make some parts not immediately visible to them. I have set up an auto-execute macro which automatically sets the zoom factor to best fit, for several of the worksheets, and this works fine. Here's the code that does it. Code: By repeating this code for each worksheet, I can make each one be zoomed just right. However, the file contains 8 sheets that are all identically laid out, except the number of rows is different. What I want to do is go to the worksheet that has the largest number of rows (it's always the same worksheet, so I know which one it is), set the zoom factor for THAT worksheet (which I can do, and it always has the same number of rows), and then take THAT zoom factor, whatever it is - and it will vary depending on the user - and apply that to the other worksheets that have a similar layout. I could just go through each worksheet and zoom it automatically, but that would mean that some of the sheets looked very large, others very small, and I'd like them to have a consistent appearance. I could also specify a range on each worksheet that was similar to the appropriate range on the longest worksheet, and zoom that automatically, but that's not ideal either, because some of the row heights vary from sheet to sheet, and again I'll end up with different font sizes. Anyone know how to do this ? I have a given length of steel bar...Example(550 feet) I have various cut lengths that I can pick from... 14'-10'.....13'- 9'.. 12'-8'........(up to 6 different lengths) I need to know the best combination of lengths to cut the long bar into to have minimal scrap left when we get to the end of the 550 feet..... Cut as many of the longest cut lengths possiable.....Cut as few of the shortest cut lengths possiable Due to the fact that I will have to convert this to a PLC application when completed, I want to find a mathmatical way to do this inside excel and not use the 'solver'....Assuming that I/we can come up with an equation to do this ..... Any and all advice/help would be appricated.....
Hi there, I have a piece of code called ConvertDates that formats data contained on 6 worksheets. The 6 data sheets all contain a data connection to a website of foreign exchange tables. What I want is for my code to execute as soon as the data connection refresh has finished. When I use the statement Code: The code executes the macro whilst the refresh is still happening, thereby screwing up my results. I don't really want to use a timed wait, because the refresh speed is going to vary from user to user. Is there some way I can tell excel to wait till the refresh has finished and then execute the code? Any help would be hugely appreciated.
I automating a task at work that will save some time. Seems simple enough but for some reason the code I have to cause IE to wait unil ready doesnt seem to work in all cases. Im using : 'wait until the page loads Do While ie.Busy Or ie.readyState READYSTATE_COMPLETE DoEvents Loop This doesnt seem to work well enough, since actions are occuring that should NOT occur until the browser is ready. Any other ideas as to how to make IE wait until the page is completely ready? I wondered about possibly checking the .innerHTML to verify that a unique page element is present. Thanks, Scott
I'm using some basic code below in an on Workbook Open event to format cells with a value less then 2 and less than 1 with a particular color. The code works, but it really slows my worksheet down when opening. Is there better way to write this? Thanks! Code:
Corporate edict. I have a worksheet that is locked and protected now, except for cells in a certain collumn. I have named the cells in that column 'MS96A'. If a user enters a date in a cell or range of cells anywhere in the column, the changed cells also need to be locked and protected (Once they enter a date, it is not allowed EVER to be changed again. Corporate requirement! *Shrug*). What I am looking for is this. If the user selects that cell again, they will get the usual pop-up message, 'The cell or chart that you are trying to change is protected...' I think I am close, but I am getting an 'End If without block If' error on the If Clause. Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Excel.Range) Dim MRange As Range Set MRange = Range('MS96A') ' If Not Intersect(Target, MRange) Is Nothing ThenFor Each cell In MRangeSheets('Sheet1').Unprotect Password:='temp' cell.Interior.ColorIndex = 3 cell.Font.Color = vbBlack Selection.Locked = True Selection.FormulaHidden = False Next cell ActiveSheet.Protect Password:='temp', _ DrawingObjects:=False, _ Contents:=True, _ Scenarios:=False ActiveSheet.EnableSelection = xlUnlockedCells End Sub
Hi Guys, Could you be so kind as to provide some code that will enable me to display a text box on a userform rounded up to 1 decimal place. Where am I going wrong.... it calculates the number entered in textbox1 and divides it by a value that changes in cell O26 but the answer is in about 8 or more decimel places. Only need like 65.3 as an answer not 65.277756942 This is the code ive used. Private Sub CommandButton1_Click() TextBox2.Value = Val(TextBox1.Value) / Range('O26').Value End Sub
I am using XL2007 and have a macro that refreshes microsoft query connections. The issue is the refreshes only happen if you step through the macro using the debugger. When you run the macro normally, everything else functions properly, but the data is not refreshed. Any help is appreciated. Here is an excerpt of the code: Workbooks.Open Filename:='C:Profile.xls' Sheets('SELECTION').Select Range('F3').Value = SNR ' THIS PART ONLY WORKS IF YOU STEP THROUGH THE MACRO USING THE DEBUGGER...IF YOU RUN MACRO NORMALLY THE CONNECTIONS DO NOT REFRESH ActiveWorkbook.Connections('Connection').Refresh ActiveWorkbook.Connections('Connection14').Refresh ActiveWorkbook.Connections('Query from C_Profile').Refresh ActiveWorkbook.Connections('Query from C_Profile1').Refresh I have a workbook that has recently changed on me and is causing a lot of grief. I have a lot of named ranges that the scope of the named range has changed to a new sheet. This is creating a lot of problems! Is there any way to manually change the scope of a named range? without deleting the nmaed range and recreating it?
I am trying to get my macro to do this on open. Check if a1 is empty, if its empty run another macro (which is an input box to put something IN a1), but if A1 has something in it, DO NOTHING. I keep getting errors, saying I'm not formulating my if statements correctly. This is what I have: Code: This is probably an easy question for most of you, but it's killing me. I tried searching before I posted this, but the suggestions given didn't seem to work for me. I need to look up data from a cell on one Excel sheet, compare it to a list on a 2nd sheet and when they equal, take a value from a different column on the 2nd sheet and drop it back on the 1st sheet. Since that's a horrible explanation, let me try explaining it this way: Sheet 1 Column A has a long list of code type 1s Column E has a long list of code type 2s Sheet 2 Cell C2 has code 1 Cell E2 needs code 2 I know it should take an index/match function, but nothing I try is working. What I'm trying is the following formula in Cell E2 of sheet 2: =INDEX('Sheet 1'!A:A,MATCH(C2,'Sheet 1'!E:E,0),5) But all I get is no result. What's driving me bonkers is that if I copy everything over to a single sheet, that formula works fine. |
